Dr. Sanjay Padhi serves as Chief Technology Officer at Tag.bio in San Francisco, CA, where he leads the company’s AI/ML strategy — spanning predictive and generative AI platforms, model development and fine-tuning, and AI agent orchestration. His focus is on regulated domains such as healthcare and life sciences, empowering biomarker discovery, precision medicine, and clinical trial optimization through a cloud-native platform deployed on AWS and Azure.
With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Padhi previously led AWS Research at Amazon, collaborating with NSF, NIH, and the DOE on advanced HPC and AI projects. Earlier in his career at CERN, he co-led the landmark 2012 discovery of the Higgs boson and architected distributed computing systems still in global use, while also contributing to international research infrastructure at Brookhaven and DESY.
