Currently holding the Leonard Kleinrock Chair Professorship in Computer Science at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and serving as Director of the Scalable Analytics Institute (ScAI), Prof. Wei Wang leads cutting-edge efforts in large-scale data analysis and AI applications. She is also set to assume the role of Chair of the Computer Science Department at UCLA in July 2025, underscoring her growing influence in shaping both academic and research trajectories.
Her distinguished career includes a decade as Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2002–2012), preceded by three years as a Research Staff Member at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center.
